Higher Thinking

I love analogies because they make concepts clearer and easier to understand.  One analogy comes to mind when thinking about "Higher Thinking".

The basis for who we are is like building a house.  If we were all given the exact materials needed to build our house from the foundation up, would all the houses end up looking the same?  No they wouldn't because everyone has a different perception of what it would look like for them.

It's the same with our conscious and subconscious mind and our relationship with our Higher Mind.  We are all given the tools of wisdom and one true reality with a strong foundation or faith in something greater with an ability to tap into that faith, but the key is in how we build that foundation and the attitude we use to maintain it.

I believe that faith in something greater than ourselves (not religion, unless that is your preference),  is the key to our attitude because it provides trust so that we may carry on through ups and downs.  It provides the knowing that we are not alone and that this is true for everyone.  This is the building block upon which we build our beliefs and create our thought patterns.  Without this understanding one can become their own worst enemy.

Your attitude and how you project it is like ordering in a resturarant (here's the analogy thing again).  If you are grumpy and rude with the server, chances are you will not receive the service you desire, as opposed to being pleasant.  What you will receive from the Universe into your life is directly related to the manner in which you asked, thought and acted.  It makes sense because as we all learned, like attracts like.  We must reflect what we want to attract.

Again, it is our conscious and subconscious mind that work together with our higher God mind, if you will, to create the attitude we desire and, most importantly, need for our over all well-being.  The subconscious mind works under the cover of darkness so we must use our conscious mind to bring light to open and expand it so our limited beliefs and thoughts have no where to hide.
