I just finished reading a book that I couldn't put down. You know the kind. When you're reading it, you're completely into it and when you're not reading it, you're thinking about reading it. "I know what you mean" you say to yourself.
That book is called, "Daddy, where's your vagina?" written by Joe Schatz. He's a stay-at-home dad to 3 girls. What I loved about it is he "gets it" and he makes it easy for anyone to "get it". What do I mean? Well, you know all those books out there about kids and parenting that make you yawn? This one delivers the same information (and then some) but in a way that you can relate to, that makes you laugh and acknowledge the purpose of parenting - to be all embracing of it.
All kids (and wives for that matter) should be so lucky to have a dad like Joe Schatz. He takes the ups and downs in stride and takes pride in his family like no one I've ever met or read about actually. Even if you've already made it through the diaper and toddler stage, I still recommend reading this book. It's not only about parenting, it's about life.
Joe Schatz, aka, Joeprah writes a blog about his adventures of being a stay-at-home dad for other dads that stay at home or are comtemplating staying home with their kids. You can visit his website at http://www.joeprah.com/ and next Tuesday, March 30 at 1pm Eastern you can listen to Joe who will be a guest on my radio show "Family Focus" on BlogTalkRadio.
Get the book, listen to the show and if you can't listen live, you can always go back later and download an MP3 recording of it to listen to and share with your friends and family members with kids.
See you Tuesday!
